Thanks

Time like they say waits for no one.

I have come to realise how important it is to follow one's dreams in spite of the difficulties that abound with such intention.

I am happy to see young people thinking and using their heads positively.

I can't but say thanks to all my friends for the support these past few months.

It's really been amazing.

God bless u all.

These are comments a group of friends exchanged after the mysterious return of the former Bayelsa State governor and before his eventual impeachment and arrest. Enjoy.

What more can I say?
The future is indeed in our hands.

When two Elephants fight, the grass will surely taste some pains.

This lad had already spilt the milk and according to earlier notions, prospective visa applicants may have to fight the application battle more than once.

However, Ala…….sia (sorry about the spelling) should have to pay through his nose; he deserves nothing but to be shamed and judged accordingly.

We have to start getting rid of the bad eggs else……I’m sure none of us wants to get rotten.

Giant of Africa…..Nigeria???

With due respect for your opinions.

We can not continue to celebrate illegality.
As far as I’m concerned, this guy is a jail bird and that’s where he is headed.

What he has done is only to tighten the noose on supposed suspects and/or criminals in the United Kingdom.
Nigerians who have complained about shabby treatment at foreign ports in the past are in for harrowing times.

This guy has shut the door to future potentials.

Do you know the number of Nigerian youths who will be denied visas particularly for further studies ‘cos of this
Clown’s irresponsible behaviour.

My spirit tells me that these events signal the beginning of a new Nigeria.

I wonder, I just wonder.

Well, its really something to ponder. The international community is waiting to see what the Federal government's response will be. This is a chance for Obasanjo to redeem himself, but, what can he do? At least he wont give him any national honours. On a lighter note, like xxx and I observed, perhaps the guy should be given a medal for being the first Nigerian to escape the jaws of scotland yard and the secret service(MI6). How many humans have ever achieved such a feat. Trust Nigerian to succeed where others fail. How ironic!

It’s really sad my brother. Amen to ur prayer also

SubjectRE: Have we crossed the rubicon?

Morning friends. It’s been a while.

Today, I am sad and I mean really sad.

Indeed, we are living in strange times. A serving Governor jumping bail! And then calling the name of Jesus on TV.

May the good Lord keep us all.

I say Amen to that.

Year 2005 in retrospect

Hi all,

A year of intrigues and tragedies you would say.
A year we lost our dear Pastor Bims.
I hope those of us who went to Yabatech remember when she came calling.

A year we killed our young ones…………….
‘Cos as far as I am concerned, the Nigerian state murdered the dead occupants of the ill fated Sosoliso aircraft.

May we never see such tragedies in years to come?
…..Amen

A year a state Governor was impeached and cuffed with chains.

I hope we are getting nearer to our dreams.

For me, it’s a year of mixed blessings but who am I not to thank God.

In the midst of penury, dejection, rejection, failure and poverty,
We are still soaring high.

We can’t but thank God.

It is well!

Nigeria shall rise again

Hi friends,

I have registered this blog site as a way of providing an avenue for us to present our views as Nigerians. We have a right to self determination and our future is in our hands.

We can not sit and watch our leaders squander our collective wealth.

We as a generation of highly literate and informed Nigerians are determined to join the fight to recreate Nigeria. However, we are committed to achieving this cause in a non-violent manner.

If you believe in this cause, kindly mail your comments and criticise our statements.

Let's get started

Hi friends,
I have registered this blog site as a way of contributing my quota to the endless battle to correct the ills within the Nigerian society

Life

Life for me is simply a blend of joy, happiness, achievements, pains, anguish and sometimes regrets. However, as humans, we celebrate the happy moments because they remain points of reference and incidents worth remembering.

Life’s journey begins at birth through an amusing but somewhat divine process called procreation and then, we get to a stage called teenage hood where the struggles for identity takes a new pedestal and ultimately, the transition to adulthood which is the point that class segregation and identity takes a definitive position.

Life for me at this stage as it is with a lot of youths, is the period to make a difference, attain success and ensure that dreams and desires do not die. Clearly, the primary expectation is that my short, medium and long-time goals are realized. Above all, my greatest dream is to see this country break into the fold of developed nations because the attainment of my goals and objectives depend heavily on the greatness of this nation. Lastly, I ask for long life because that is the only way I can watch those life long dreams transit into reality giving credence to the saying that there is hope when there is life.

Great Achievements!

What more can I say?

Tope’s achievement does not surprise us anymore?

I am impressed by the promises Nigerian youths have continued to display both at home and abroad in spite of the negative publicity that we get.

I keep saying that the market place in the near future will be defined by skills set that are world class.

From Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie of the ‘Purple Hibiscus’ fame to Ben Okri’s ‘famished road’ and the GAGUT theory

Heh! Tunde Baiyewu’s Lighthouse family

The countless number of Nigerians at Morgan Stanley, Citi Corp and universities across the world

The future is undoubtedly very bright and promising.

Tope, please keep the flag flying as you increase the swelling number of ACCA’s from Nigeria

Friends, the challenge begins today

Let’s fire our imaginations

Nobody takes what is ours.
